Following a national executive search led by the organization’s Search Committee and Board of Directors, Jamie Murdock has been named president of Financial & Insurance Conference Professionals (FICP). Most recently, Murdock served as managing vice president of sales and industry presence at Maritz. He previously held senior sales and leadership positions across the meetings and events sector.
“I am honored to join FICP and excited to serve such a highly engaged and respected community,” said Murdock. “FICP has a remarkable legacy, a deeply committed membership and hospitality partner network, and tremendous momentum for the future. I look forward to listening, learning and working alongside the Board, our members, partners and staff team to build on that success and continue advancing the profession.”
As president, he will help operationalize the association’s strategic direction, support long-term organizational growth and serve as a key ambassador for FICP within the meetings, events and hospitality industries.

Financial & Insurance Conference Professionals (FICP) serves approximately 1,500 meeting professionals and hospitality partners across North America. Through conferences, educational programs and networking opportunities, FICP helps members stay current on industry trends, build meaningful relationships and strengthen their value to the organizations they serve.
Murdock officially begins his role as president Sept. 22. Members and industry stakeholders will have an opportunity to meet him at the 2026 FICP Annual Conference, Nov. 15-18 in New Orleans.
